Optelian to Address Kentucky Telephone Association – Tennessee Telecommunications Association Meeting

Ottawa, ON/Marietta, GA - October 18, 2010 - Optelian, a trusted designer and manufacturer of optical transport systems, today announced the Company’s participation in the Kentucky Telephone Association – Tennessee Telecommunications Association 16th Annual Joint Fall Meeting, being held on October 26-29, 2010 at the Holiday Inn University Plaza, Bowling Green, KY. Optelian will be featuring its portfolio of optical network solutions for the multi-reach environment, highlighting its CWDM cell backhaul solution.


Additionally, Bill Myers, Customer Service and Sales Advocate for Optelian, will present a workshop on Capacity Expansion Solutions for Making Broadband a Reality, scheduled for Wednesday, October 27. This workshop will present a technical overview of xWDM, including a discussion on xWDM’s evolution highlighting  new features including muxponders, pluggable-tunable lasers and Forward Error Correction (FEC). The workshop will outline several timely applications and show the economic advantage of xWDM, demonstrating  xWDM as an indispensible part of the Broadband revolution.
