Energy efficient, cost effective, and environmentally hardened, the OMS-219 shelf is the ideal choice for outside plant cabinets, customer premises and CO locations.

As an integral part of the LightGAIN system, the 2U shelf holds any four LightGAIN cards. The entire family of applications is available to wherever space is congested, with full remote management using Optelian’s ONM-200 network management software.

Small footprint doesn’t mean that features need to be sacrificed. Front and rear A&B power and alarm connections, AC or DC power configurations, rear-mount Ethernet port for management connectivity (with MGT-OSC), long-life redundant fans and multi-use 19”, 23” and wall mount brackets are included.

Its plug-and-play nature makes installation of the LightGAIN OMS-219 a routine exercise for technicians.

Applications

The OMS-219 is used either on its own or paired with the OMS-119. On its own, a common application is for mounting mid-span amplifiers or regenerators. When paired with the OMS-119, it typically houses the transponder cards in a CWDM or DWDM application with the passive multiplexers housed in the OMS-119.
