LightGAIN RGN-210 CWDM ITU Wavelength Converter

The Optelian LightGAIN RGN-210 is a data rate and protocol independent ITU transponder designed for the Access and Metro market. The RGN-210 is ideally compatible with the LightGAIN EWX CWDM Mux/DeMux and OADM Modules.

The any rate, 3R, (reshape, regenerate and re-time), design ensures error free operation with data rates from 45Mb/s to 2.7 Gbps supporting all SONET, Asynchronous, and DataComm Rates over the coarse WDM band.

Legacy products can now be mapped to the ITU grid to take full advantage of the cost savings offered by CWDM. Receiver sensitivity of -30 dBm and the high launch power of > 0 dBm significantly extend the optical link distances at low cost. LED displays and alarm contacts facilitate local alarm management while an in-band management channel allows remote configuration, management and alarm monitoring.

The RGN-210 requires no maintenance and installs easily in the LightGAIN OMS-519 and OMS-219 (Optical Mounting Shelves)
