LightGAIN L-130 13 Channel DWDM Cassette
The LightGAIN L-130 Mux and L-130 DeMux cassettes are passive 13-channel DWDM modules that are designed to mount in Lucent’s LGX® shelf. Installation is quick and effortless. Each cassette has 15 optical ports with SC/PC connectors: Ports 1-13 for 13 ITU wavelengths, a common (COM) port, and a Monitor (MON) port.
The L-130 Mux and DeMux cassettes are normally deployed in pairs. The L-130 Mux, at the ‘near-end’ of a transmission link, combines 13 ITU wavelengths (200 GHz spaced) from Ports 1 to 13 onto a single common fiber. At the ‘far-end’ of the same link, the L-130 DeMux separates the original wavelengths and presents them to their respective terminal equipment. The L-130 Mux and DeMux cassettes can be used in both uni-directional and bi-directional applications.
At each end of the link, 5% of the common optical signal is tapped off for monitoring purposes and presented on the MON port.
The L-130 Mux and DeMux cassettes, operating together, have been designed to minimize end-to-end insertion loss at or below 6.5 dB.
