LightGAIN MGT-OSC Optical Network Management Card
The LightGAIN MGT-OSC single-slot card extends the value of network management with OSC optics. Node to node user communication is provided by a 100-Mbps optical service data channel. Two Ethernet interfaces allow direct management interconnectivity of local shelves.
Optical interfaces are realized by Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceivers, one each for east and west directions. A single MGT-OSC with two OSC SFPs, along with two partner multiplexing MDX-OSC cards, supports a bidirectional east and west configuration.
The standard OSC operates at 1510nm, and pluggable optics allow any OSC wavelength compatible with Optelian’s MDX passive family.
