LightGAIN L-020 Dual WDM Cassette

The LightGAIN L-020 Dual WDM cassette is a passive WDM module that is designed to mount in Optelian’s CMS line of mounting solutions and complies with Lucent’s LGX ® industry standards. Installation is quick and effortless.

Each cassette has 6 optical ports configured in two groups of three, corresponding to two separate WDM circuits. Each WDM circuit consists of a 1310 nm port, a 1550 nm port and a common (COM) port. Each port is labeled with its wavelength and is terminated with an SC/PC connector.

The L-020 Dual WDM cassettes are normally deployed in pairs. The L-020 Dual WDM at the ‘near end’ of a transmission link combines 1310 nm and 1550 nm signals onto a single common fiber. At the ‘far-end’ of the same link, the L-020 Dual WDM separates the original wavelengths received from the incoming common fiber and presents them to their respective terminal equipment.

The L-020 Dual WDM cassettes can be used in either uni-directional or bi-directional applications and is designed to provide high isolation with low insertion loss.

The LightGAIN L-020 Dual WDM module is an ideal, low cost, way to gain 2 to 1 fiber gains on a congested two-fiber span.
