LightGAIN "Ruggedized" WDM 1310nm & 1550nm WDM Cable
The LightGAIN "Ruggedized" 1310-1550 WDM is a passive thin film WDM designed for Telecom, CATV and Enterprise market. Installation is quick and effortless as each WDM consists of a connector for 1310nm, 1550nm and common (COM). Each connector is labeled accordingly and is terminated with the connector of choice.
"Ruggedized" WDM’s are normally deployed in pairs. The "Ruggedized" WDM at the "near end" of a transmission link combines 1310nm/1550nm signals onto a single common fiber. At the "far-end" of the same link, the "Ruggedized" WDM separates the original wavelengths received from the incoming common fiber and presents them to their respective terminal equipment. Note that in this application, the user is responsible for the 1550nm optics.
The "Ruggedized" WDM can also be deployed with the Optelian LightGAIN RGN-312/348. In this application the RGN-312/348 is placed at the ‘near end’ of the transmission link and provides both the 1550nm optics and combines 1310nm/1550nm signals onto a single common fiber. At the "far-end" of the same link, the "Ruggedized" WDM separates the original wavelengths received from the incoming common fiber and presents them to their respective terminal equipment. Note that in this application Optelian is responsible for providing the 1550nm optics.
