Compact form-factor, low cost, low power, ease of deployment ideal for metro and regional deployments
Ottawa, ON/Marietta, GA — Optical networking solution provider Optelian announces the evolution of its successful 100G networking services platform with the
introduction of a new, lower cost version – available now.
Optelian was among the first to market in the compact 100G transport space with the MPX-9110, the industry’s most compact and efficient 100 Gb/s solution. Configurable as a muxponder or transponder, this 1RU platform gives customers the freedom to configure a mix of services at 10, 40, or 100 Gb/s over a single 100G transport wavelength.
The new MPX-9105 retains the key attributes of the MPX-9110 but at a lower cost, further delivering on the value proposition customers continue to expect. The compact form-factor is preserved, allowing for ease of deployment in a wide variety of sites. Now, customers can affordably meet the requirements of ever-increasing bandwidth services to more sites without the need for costly infrastructure buildouts.
“Our 100G family has been further optimized to target metro and regional deployments. Low cost, small footprint, low power consumption, and ease of deployment results in CAPEX and OPEX savings to network operators. Service providers, data centers, and enterprise customers, especially in R&E, will appreciate a quick ROI,” said Optelian CEO David Weymouth.
The 100G family is a key component of Optelian’s FLEX Architecture™ portfolio.
